2018 marks Wacky Wine Weekend’s 15th anniversary!
Taste the Lifestyle at the Robertson Wine Valley’s fifteenth annual Wacky Wine Weekend showcasing more than 30 wine estates, boutique wineries and tourism establishments from the Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson region. This much-loved family-friendly event takes place from 31 May to 3 June 2018.
All participating wineries will be opening their cellar doors to showcase the finest vintages in the Robertson Wine Valley. Over the course of Wacky Wine Weekend, award-winning wines can be savoured through tours, pairings and interactive tastings by exceptional winemakers. Live music, food stalls with hearty country cuisine and fun activities for children complete the well-rounded entertainment experience.
Expect to be entertained with live music, outdoor sports, craft stalls, variety of country cuisines and family fun!
The event takes place at multiple wineries and tourism establishments, each showcasing a feast of unique activities planned. Expect a line-up to suit the fun-seeker, novice or wine connoisseur. Most are included in your weekend pass; others work on a pay as you go system.
Bookings
Buy your tickets on webtickets (R200) and remember to choose the winery that will be your first stop. When you arrive, exchange your WebTicket for your Wacky Passport consisting of your wine glass, water bottle, wristband, programme and coupons. Guests will be able to use the coupon system to enjoy 6 free tastings at each participating winery.
Also make sure to book your accommodation in time and be sure to make your way to the lush Robertson Wine Valley, the perfect country escape, being a mere two hours from Cape Town on the famous Route 62.
