New season, new food. It’s time for the 2015 Autumn Tasting Menu at La Mouette. And my word, that Chef Henry and team are showing off. It not just what’s seasonal, and delicious – but it FEELS like winter. When I read this menu, I actually wanted to go and put on a beanie, boots and a scarf. Ok, I’m rambling. Without further ado, look at the bloody marvelous menu at La Mouette.
Cassoulet, Toulouse sausage, persillade, pickled apple

Confit Franschhoek trout
Crispy squid, skordalia, pine nuts, fennel and orange
Or
Textures of shallot
Caramelized shallot, pickled, puree, capers and olive powder

Pan- fried hake
Smoked onion puree, soft boiled free range egg, pickled celeriac and potato skin crumble

Roasted Quail
Potato gnocchi, roasted vegetables, confit leg and chestnut bisque

Fontina Raviolis
Truffle dressing, baby spinach, tomato fondue
