Groot Constantia, South Africa’s oldest wine farm, has been crafting exceptional wines since 1685, and this exclusive event will showcase the best of their offerings.
On Friday, 30 August 2024, guests will be treated to an exquisite dining experience in The Conservatory at The Cellars-Hohenort. Each course has been meticulously designed by the hotel’s chefs to highlight the unique flavors of Groot Constantia’s storied wines.
- The menu include an Almond & Citrus Empanada with basil aioli, Poached Prawn with gooseberry and elderflower, Orange Glazed Chicken Oysters with potato gnocchi and nasturtium pesto, Salmon En Croute with spinach and black cherry-cocoa emulsion, Braised Beef Short Rib with oak smoked pumpkin and blueberry chutney, and a Dark Chocolate Fondant with black pepper meringue and white peach ice cream. Each dish is complemented by a selected wine, including Groot Constantia Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Gouverneurs Reserve White 2022, Lady of Abundance 2020, Gouverneurs Reserve Red 2020, and Grand Constance 2019
