4 Course Food & Wine Evening with Riebeek Valley Wine Co Pairing at The Turbine Hotel

Join the Island Café at The Turbine Hotel in Knysna on 26 September 2024 for a culinary evening celebrating the best of local food and wine.

In partnership with the Riebeek Valley Wine Co, the evening promises an exquisite food and wine pairing experience, set against the scenic backdrop of Thesen Island. With live music by Irene Vermaak, it’s set to be an unforgettable night.

What’s on the Menu?

• The evening begins with a welcome of Kasteelberg Chenin Blanc, expertly paired with a smoked kingklip rosette served with lime, crème fraiche mousse, and petit herb salad. The first course pairs RAAR Grenache Noir with a beautifully prepared quail, including coffee-roasted breast, leg confit ravioli, and Bo-Kaap red lentils.
• For the second course, enjoy RAAR Grenache Blanc with a seafood bisque featuring prawn, squid, fresh mussels, and aromatic oil.
• The third course is a stunning Kasteelberg Syrah alongside a perfectly smoked rack of lamb, accompanied by sweet potato purée and root vegetable terrine.
• The meal concludes with a sweet touch of Pieter Cruythoff Brut, paired with a delicate papaya bavarios, roasted lemon gel, and coconut coral.
