Peru, whilst famed for meals like Ceviche, actually has a huge variety of culinary delights because of the numerous micro-climates and differents cultures involved in Peru since its discovery (even more than South Africa). As such you will find a wide variety of dishes on the menu at Keenwa Restaurant – the only Peruvian Restaurant in South Africa. One of the most infamous Peruvian dishes, battered guinea pig, is not on the menu though.
During winter they are offering a great dinner special: Receive a starter, main and a glass of wine for only R150 per person. This week, the set menu includes a Keenwa salad (lima beans, feta cheese, pine nuts, avo) and grilled hake on a bed of vegetables with a Pisco, butter and garlic sauce. The set menu changes every week to keep things fresh.
