Antipasto Bar at Anthonij Rupert Wines

Visitors to Anthonij Rupert Wines in Franschhoek can look forward to not one but two exquisite tasting rooms. In addition there is also the Franschhoek Motor museum where 100 years of motoring history is showcased, as well as a complimentary San Francisco style tram to drive you between the locations.

The Terra del Capo Tasting Room

The Terra del Capo Tasting Room, situated at the entrance to the property, was designed to showcase the company’s Italian-inspired Terra del Capo range.

Situated below the tasting room is the Antipasto Bar, perfect for a quick lunch of traditional antipasti inspired by freshly prepared local ingredients while lingering over a flight of wines or one perfect glass of wine. Alternatively seating outside under the olive trees makes it the perfect place to celebrate with friends while soaking up the picturesque views of the Franschhoek valley and surrounds in the summer months.

Wine aficionados can enjoy bespoke wine tasting experiences of the Cape of Good Hope and Anthonij Rupert Wine ranges at the Anthonij Rupert Tasting room. Situated in the original Manor House on the farm, the restored house is furnished throughout in the style of the mid-nineteenth century in the Cape. It seems only befitting that this is the place where you can taste some very special vintage wines and get to grips with how wine evolves over time.

With the tram which operates on a hop-on hop-off basis, there can be few better ways to experience beautiful scenery in the winelands without having to drive yourself. Make a day of visiting the Franschhoek Motor Museum, taste superb wines and then end off your visit with a delicious lunch either under the olive trees or in the antipasto bar at the Terra del Capo Tasting Room.
