Thirty7 Showkitchen at Westin Cape Town

In the morning, stop in for the breakfast buffet before a busy schedule, serving an abundance of delicious and energy-boosting choices like home-made muesli with raw nuts and seeds, local smoked salmon, international hot and cold options like congee and miso soup or local traditional favorites like Bean Chakalaka, Mosbolletjies and Koesisters.  Try our Superfood™ juices like Carrot, Ginger and Pine or Strawberry, Date and Rosewater made in-house by our skilled Juicemen at The Juice bar, or grab a coffee to go from the Barista right next to him.

At night, Thirty7 Showkitchen re-opens with the Dynamic Duo, Stephen Mandes at the helm of a live-fire kitchen, serving a selection of aged free-range meats, sustainable seafood and organic vegetables, cooked on charcoal fires and in pizza ovens.  They promise a fresh, never frozen product, as full of flavour and nutrients as the day it was harvested, within a uniquely emotive dining experience that is deeper than the plate. Thirty7 Showkitchen adds personal elements to each dish that tell a story.

Start off with the ‘Small Plates’ selection, which is perfect for sharing, like the Wood Fired Beetroot on goat’s cheese labneh or the Slow Cooked Pork Belly, with pineapple chutney and smoked apple aioli.  Move on to our Mains with the Butter-Basted Petit Poussin, roasted whole in the pizza oven, or our Butcher’s Block with a selection of aged beef cuts.  Cap it off with classic desserts that have been given a South African flair such as the Pumpkin Pie or our Pastry Chef Leigh’s Signature Sour Fig and Apple Cobbler served up with thyme and olive oil gelato.  In case this isn’t enough to tempt even the most reserved among you, ask the knowledgeable service staff about the daily black-board specials!

If the hustle gets too much, retire to the tranquility and comfort of the plush couches and high wing-backs in Raleigh’s.  Situated on the Mezzanine level, and walled completely in glass, Raleigh’s overlooks the Showkitchen on one side and the double volume windows of Louis B’s on the other.  Here the bartenders will treat you to one of the largest selections of whisky in Cape Town, accompanied by a selection of tasty offerings from the menus on offer.
