The Bentley Oyster Bar, nestled in the trendy business sector of Claremont, Cape Town has opened its doors to the public mid November 2012. It brings to the public an array of exquisitely prepared Oysters along with many other fine dining dishes. It marks the turn away from the traditionally prepared west coast oyster and sees a new trend towards tastes and flavours that will not only educate but excite the SA public. One can expect flavours such as Chilli, Lime and Miso Oyster, Oysters served in an oriental spoon with dried brewed Champagne foam as well as Deep Fried Cancun Breaded Oyster.
Along with the oyster dishes, the menu consists of salads such as Panzanella and Coronation Chicken. Starters include Game Carpaccio with rocket leaves, beetroot purée balsamic syrup and parmesan shavings as well as Mussels in a creamy white wine and leek sauces. Main course dishes include Duck A’Lorange served with an orange reduction, Lamb rack served with a mango and coconut chilli puree, Lamb Shank cooked in Guiness, rosemary and sweet garlic and lazy aged Rib Eye Steak with pomme frites. All dishes are expertly paired with fine wines, Graham Beck Methode Cap Classique and Boston Breweries Craft Beer. The menu also consists of “Black Board Specials” which change on a daily basis.
Not only is the food delectable, but the superb service and ambient décor promise an unforgettable experience for taste and dining.
