African cuisine made simple with Big Momma’s Observatory!
As young adults living in Cape Town, we realised that despite an abundance of international food brands on almost every corner that there was an absence of a restaurant that caters for traditional home cooked meals with an emphasis on everyday African cuisine that is the staple diet of majority of Africans of all races across the continent.
Opened in 2016 in Observatory, Cape Town, initially catering to the local residents but now also available via MrD, OrderIn and Uber Eats.
The menu is simple allowing all customers to build their own meal, choosing their combination of starch, meat and vegetables as they see fit. Focusing on wholesome, good sized and affordable portion sizes.
