Get ready for a celebration of culture, community, and of course, wine, at the Spier Harvest of the Arts.
This annual festival is a chance to experience the grape harvest season in all its glory, with a vibrant program of performances, poetry readings, meditations, and more.
Running in partnership with Third World Bunfight, the performing arts program at Spier has curated a diverse and exciting line-up of top local artists to create an intriguing and spirited festival.
And with an enchanting children’s theatre performance kicking off the program each day at noon, there truly is something for everyone. Throughout the weekend, guests can attend poetry recitals by local writers such as Kobus Moolman, Jacques Coetzee, and Dominique Botha in quiet nooks under the oak trees. And in the evenings, a collective outdoor meditation on the river bank is sure to provide a calming respite from the day’s festivities.
But the real highlight of the weekend is the spectacular harvest thanksgiving ritual, featuring the Tierra Flamenca dancers and an ensemble of percussionists, which precedes the sunset concert. It’s a truly breathtaking display of culture and artistry, and a fitting way to give thanks for the harvest season.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Spier event without great wine, and the Harvest of the Arts is no exception. With a focus on good wine, a healthy earth, and happy people, Spier has created a program that reflects these values and celebrates the cultural richness of the surrounding area.
So come on out and join them for a weekend of fun, food, and celebration at the Spier Harvest of the Arts. Tickets start at just R100 per person, so book your spot now and get ready to experience the best that the grape harvest season has to offer.
