Radisson Blu Hotel Durban Umhlanga hosted an unforgettable Women’s Day Empowerment High Tea on 9 August 2024.
250 incredible women gathered to celebrate a day filled with inspiration, elegance, and empowerment. The event brought together influential and extraordinary women, creating a powerful atmosphere of community and connection.
The celebration began with the enchanting sounds of a violinist, welcoming guests as they arrived.
- The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers, including the renowned Sorisha Naidoo, Indira Albuquerque, Kim Jayde, Prea Hassan, and Dr. Portia Mazabane. Each speaker captivated the audience with their stories of resilience, success, and empowerment, leaving everyone inspired and motivated. As a special gesture, all our speakers received little MAC goodies, generously sponsored by MAC Cosmetics.
Guests indulged in an exquisite high tea experience, featuring a delightful array of both sweet and savory treats. The culinary selection was a feast for the senses, perfectly complementing the sophisticated atmosphere of the day.
The ladies arrived dressed to impress, adding an extra layer of glamour to the event. Prizes for the best dressed were awarded, courtesy of Amor Couture, while the lucky draw featured a range of coveted prizes sponsored by Sissy Boy, Aldo, Eyami, Umhlanga Laser & Aesthetics Spa, Dr. Salome Booth, and others. The grand prize, a cruise for two on the MSC Musica in a balcony cabin valued at R25,000, was generously sponsored by One Stop Travel.
All guests left with luxury goodie bags valued at R1,500 each, filled with items sponsored by brands such as Glamour magazine, Lamelle, Dove, Golden Hour Skin, Vodacom, and many more.
