The Cavern Resort in the Drakensberg is a beautiful and serene place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Nestled in the heart of the Drakensberg mountains, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature and find inner peace. That’s why the resort is hosting a series of yoga and nature retreats, to give visitors the opportunity to deepen their practice and connect with the natural world.
- First up, from 3-6 February, the resort is hosting a yoga retreat led by Helen Garner. This retreat is designed for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi. Helen will guide you through a variety of yoga practices, including Asana, Pranayama, and meditation, to help you develop strength, flexibility, and balance.
- Next, from 10-12 February, the resort is hosting a geology retreat led by John Roff. This retreat is designed to introduce you to the geological wonders of the Drakensberg and explore the history of the earth. John will take you on a journey through the rock formations, fossils and landscapes of the Drakensberg, and explain the geological processes that formed them.
- Finally, from 8-12 March, the resort is hosting a nature journaling retreat led by Elsa Pooley and Gillian Condy. This retreat is designed to help you develop your nature journaling skills and connect with the natural world. Elsa and Gillian will guide you through the process of observing, sketching, and writing about nature, and will provide tips and techniques to help you create beautiful and meaningful nature journals.
All of these retreats are designed to help you deepen your connection with nature and develop your skills in yoga, geology, and nature journaling.
