Tullamore D.E.W. suggests some fun Halloween garnishes to bring some cheer to one of the scariest years in history.
No doubt, and for obvious reasons, 2020 will go down in history as one of the scariest years in history. Perhaps an unforeseen positive outcome from this year’s situation is that we may not fear ghosts, ghouls, and zombies as much anymore.
This year, let’s celebrate Halloween with two Tullamore D.E.W cocktails that you can have fun garnishing with ghoulish creations. Afterall, what’s more fun than the perfect blend of fright and delight.
Orange Skeleton Head with Tullamore On the Rocks
- 50ml Tullamore D.E.W. Irish whiskey
- 4 blocks of ice
Using an orange, fashion the iconic pumpkin head face by cutting the zest from the orange. Use the cut pieces of orange to zest over the Tullamore D.E.W on the rocks. Pierce the orange with a wooden stirrer, and balance the skeleton head on the rim of the glass.
A devilish Tullamore D.E.W cocktail garnished with marshmallow and maraschino cherry eyes.
- 40ml Tullamore D.E.W. Irish whiskey
- 30ml Campari
- 30ml Sweet vermouth
Mix the Tullamore D.E.W. Irish whiskey, Campari and Sweet vermouth, and strain into a cocktail glass. Carve a socket out of a round white or pink marshmallow. In the socket, place a maraschino cherry. Pierce both the marshmallow and the maraschino cherry with a wooden stirrer, then balance the eye garnish on the rim of the glass.
Tullamore D.E.W is the second most widely consumed Irish Whiskey in the world, and number one in Ireland.
- Further, at this year’s 2020 International Spirit’s Challenge awards Tullamore D.E.W. was awarded 5 gold & 1 silver medals.
