Marco’s inherent Italian charm, Durban style and adventurous soul combined with his Italian mother’s wonderful cooking ability, helped create Marco’s Ristornate in 1999.
Having relished Mamma’s delicious authentic Italian cuisine at home, Marco saw this as the perfect opportunity to nature Italian culture by providing a platform for guests to enjoy the ceremony of food and socializing in a fashion that is truly Italian.
Whilst Mamma, who hails from Modena, Italy, works her magic in the kitchen, Marco captivates guests in a way that only Italians know how and together they revel in the enjoyment of their delighted patrons.
So successful was their endeavor that only a year after the inception of Marco’s Ristorante, Marco and Mamma Conte opened Mamma Luciana’s Trattoria next door, which too became a success and instigated yet another Mamma Luciana’s in Glenashley.
