Four of Durban’s hottest chefs are setting out on an epic street food battle. Each chef will be preparing two dishes, paired with a drink. The guests are tasked with judging the individual dishes, on a number of points (Presentation & Street food credibility, Banging Flavour, Technique).
Each guest will be given a score card to vote for their favorite dishes. Guests will have an opportunity to sample each chef’s dishes with corresponding drink for the ticket price of R200.
The venue will be set up with 4 street food stalls, where the crew will prepare and compete to win the title.
- Brett Gentles (Parc Cafe is teaming up with Distillery 031 Gin
- Constantijn Hahndiek is teaming up with S43 ( That Brewerying Company)
- Marcelle Roberts (Cafe 1999) is teaming up with Morrisons Wine Estate
- Brendon Newport (Surfriders Cafe) is teaming up with Corona
The evening is sure to be a fun culinary battle between some of Durban’s hottest chefs bringing their unique flavour and cooking abilities to the plate.
Entertainment, tunes & good vibes will be supplied by DJ Scissorhands Ryan Renaud. Surf Riders Cafe is looking forward to hosting this winter event.
