Enjoy the last few days of summer with a trip to Anthonij Rupert Wyne in Franschhoek for an Easter inspired family picnic on Sunday, 27 March.
Make yourself comfortable on the sprawling lawns of the Anthonij Rupert Tasting Room, as you get ready to enjoy your gourmet treats. Tuck into the beautifully presented picnic basket, which includes freshly baked artisanal bread, delicious pâté, cured meats and a selection of fine cheeses. Fresh and crunchy seasonal salads prepared with estate-grown ingredients complete the selection. An Easter egg (or two) for those with a sweet tooth is the perfect ending to the ultimate winelands picnic experience.
Children under the age of 10 can enjoy their own yummy Easter treats in between the lawn games planned for their entertainment.
Pre-book your picnic at R480 per basket (serving two to three adults), and R60 per child for their picnic hamper.
Complement your basket with a bottle of wine from the Anthonij Rupert Wyne portfolio, which will be available to purchase on the day. Unfortunately, no other wine will be permitted on the premises. Soft drinks and mineral water will also be available.
After enjoying the views, games and delicious picnic fare, hop onboard the tram at 2pm, which will take guests to the Franschhoek Motor Museum on the adjacent L’Ormarins Estate. This will be available as an optional extra for guests.
Should you prefer a slightly more formal option, the Antipasti Bar at the Terra del Capo Tasting Room is the perfect destination for a Sunday lunch, but booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
