Attention Cape Townians: there is a new gourmet pizza menu in town, The Base, located at the President Hotel in Bantry Bay.
Known for its beautiful views of Lion’s Head and the Atlantic Ocean, the hotel has recently launched a new pizza bar offering artisanal wood-fire pizzas right next to their pool. It’s perfect for summer.
The Base’s menu boasts six delectable pizzas using the freshest seasonal toppings catering to carnivores and herbivores. Ingredients such as prosciutto, gorgonzola, rocket and fig, or pulled pork, blush peach compote, sesame and slaw all make it onto the menu. The gluten free bases are for real as well. Prices range from R95 – R135.
“I am excited to bring this new concept to the President Hotel, which is meant to showcase the skill and passion behind Italian food. This summer we really want to focus on bringing on a menu that is fresh, lively, and allows guests and customers in the area to relax into the comforts of the new season. – shares Paterson.
The Base will be open to all guests every day of the week from noon until 10 pm. You don’t have to stay at the hotel to enjoy a wonderful artisinal pizza at The President.
