Cavalli Estate has added a new culinary experience to their already impressive repertoire, and it’s something that will delight oyster and wine lovers alike.
The estate’s latest offering is a gourmet oyster and wine pairing, featuring 5 unique oysters each paired with a distinct Cavalli wine.
When are you joining for your oyster & wine experience?
- The experience starts with a glass of the estate’s signature MCC paired with a Tempura & Mebos oyster, which is a unique blend of sweet and tangy flavors that complement the wine’s crisp acidity.
- The next pairing is a Fynbos Mignonette oyster served with the estate’s creamy Cremello. The oyster’s fresh sea flavors are beautifully balanced by the wine’s rich, buttery texture.
- Moving on to the white wines, the Reserve Chenin Blanc is paired with a Pineapple & Citrus oyster, which offers a burst of tropical sweetness to contrast the wine’s crisp minerality.
- The final two pairings are with red wines, the Shiraz with a Spiced Plum oyster and the Cabernet Sauvignon with a Grilled oyster with beef fat and salted crumbs. The former is an explosion of bold, spicy flavors that work together with the wine’s full-bodied richness, while the latter offers a perfect combination of savory and salty flavors that are complemented by the Cabernet’s bold tannins.
This one-of-a-kind gourmet experience can be enjoyed at Cavalli Estate’s Tasting Lounge/Terrace, which is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.
