Pappas Restaurant is excited to announce their Wine Country of the month special, bringing wines from all over the world to patrons right here on Nelson Mandela Square.
For the first time Pappas patrons will have the opportunity to taste and explore international wines, wine making styles & each ones story. Every month we will introduce a different country’s wine, providing a unique tasting experience or reminiscence on the wines drunk abroad.
“Each and every Wine Country is a reflection of the winemakers style as well as the terroir that is so unique to that region and country. ” says Anton Pispeki from Imported Brand Distributors.
In celebration of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil and in support of South America, Pappas has nominated Argentina as this month’s Wine Country. Being the 5th largest wine making country on the planet and the home of the Malbec grape varietal, Pappas will be serving Finca Flichman Malbec 2013, Syrah 2012 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2012.
In the months to come we offer wine lovers the opportunity to indulge in wines from some of the world’s most prestigious wine regions. From the Cachapoal region in Chile, to Douro in Portugal (the oldest demarcated Wine Region in the World), then to Rioja the home of Tempranilo, as well as Marlborough New Zealand, (the youngest wine making country in the world).
