Springtime – the time of all things new and fresh. Sunshine, blossoming flowers and new beginnings. With the old, dreary winter almost behind us, it’s time to whet our appetites for something else spring brings. New food! Because why shouldn’t a new season mean new flavours?
So make like a daffodil and turn towards the Spring Food Festival being held at The Cosmopolitan on 1 September from 12:00-19:00.
And what did we say about new? Experience bunny chow as never before with fall-on-your-back, overloaded kotas – hollowed out loaves of bread with either a beef or chicken patty and toppings like atchar or tomato based gravy, egg, chips, cheese, onion, cucumber, tomato and a touch of garlic, all fried in coconut oil. Because that helps. Or if you want to kick it old school, opt for the braai – chicken, chops or sausage. It is braai month after all. Expect to be refreshed by spring-themed drinks with citrus, kiwi and lemon flavours.
Doesn’t that just get you excited for spring? Make some space in your calendar and your tummy and make sure you’re at The Cosmopolitan on Spring Day. Tickets are just R20!
See you there.
