Foodies Assemble! It’s Long Table time at Darling Brewery!
It’s been a while since Darling Brewery could invite you all over for a Darling Brew Long Table experience, so they’re getting ready to make the first one for 2021 will be a foodie event to remember.
It’s Steak Night, curated and hosted by Chef Ryan, and Brewermaster René Du Toit!
That’s right folks – on Friday 15 October, they will be opening the doors to the Tasteroom in Darling for only the second time for an evening event which will be an old-school steak night featuring some exciting reimagined variations of those time-honoured steakhouse classics, paired with your choice of Darling Brew craft beer or local wines for good measure.

What’s the Menu?
🧆 Canapes on arrival will include beer-braised bitterballen, springbok carpaccio bruschetta, beer-battered mushrooms with a blue cheese dipping sauce & roasted calamari tubes stuffed with chorizo and savoury rice, paired with a 500ml DB Slow Beer or a glass of Darling Cellars Sauvignon Blanc.
🥩 Mains will feature a 500g grass-fed, 28-day aged T-bone steak cooked how you like it, served with a pepper-and-dark-ale sauce, paired with a 500ml Warlord Imperial IPA or a glass of Groote Post Old Man’s Blend.
🥗 On the table, you will find a potato, thyme and aged cheddar bake, buttered green beans and almonds, spiced & roasted butternut, and harissa-roasted cauliflower with fresh coriander, paired with a 300ml Black Mist Orange or a glass of Groote Post Riesling.
🍧 Then follows dessert – an inimitable DB-style tiramisu, i.e. Black Mist-infused, coffee-soaked finger biscuits, layered with rich vanilla bean mascarpone, dusted with dark cacao. Magic!
