New Drinking Yoghurts & Celebration Cakes from Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt

There’s no doubt that the South African retail market is in distress but the global pandemic, COVID-19 and the lockdown regulations imposed on the country this year has seen the FMCG industry in particular, take hard knocks.

The closing down of popular restaurants and food outlets bares testament to the challenging climate facing this particular sector. It’s no surprise, then, that seasonal products/categories such as the frozen dessert industry is bearing the brunt of these repercussions.

However, despite the current economic climate Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt keeps rising to the challenges.

Marcel’s has developed a number of innovative new flavours and products over the years. But this year – 2020-, the pandemic has created an opportunity for the brand’s innovative new product development (NPD) team to really focus on creating new and exciting product offerings, launched on the 1 December.
