I was invited to have a preview of the new menu that is currently being laucnhed at all moyo restaurants nationwide.
We were presented with several dishes from their new menu which included everything from Mopane worms for starters, crocodile tail pies as a main and something more traditional but South African for dessert. But they don’t just offer dishes for the adventurous. With their new menu, they cater for everyone offering African dishes for tourists wishing to experience Africa but also many traditional dishes with a slight African twist to cater for the local market.
This menu change is part of a greater Moyo evulution that has already begun with staff training that takes staff training into a class to compare with world standards. The built-in warmth of the welcome to a modern-day African ambiance with indigenous entertainment, wraps up all the ingredients of a memorable experience.
The new menu contains many of the old moyo favourites, but has been reworked to include traditional South African classics with a twist and a new take on some of the African standards. Though the menu has been created round the African experience for international tourists, there’s nothing that authenticates a restaurant more than loyal local support. So there is a strong appeal to the broader South African taste.
Breakfast & Lunch at moyo
In addition, the new Life menu introduces a cafe-style breakfast and lunch with an African spin for quick on the go meals. A special menu for children broadens the appeal to the entire family. With restaurants in beautiful evocative settings, moyo made its name through bringing the culinary diversity of Africa to visitors at the southern end of the continent, who love the authentic atmosphere, mood and sense of adventure.
These new menus takes the food and the moyo name to a whole new level.
