Anthonij Rupert estate in Franschhoek is hosting an exciting Pickle & Produce Workshop this September!
The workshop begins with coffee and MCC on arrival, followed by a tram drive to the private L’Ormarins vegetable garden, where horticulturist Bryan Beverley or lead gardener Emily Morr will take guests on a tour of the sustainable practices employed in our gardens. A side of the Estate guests usually don’t get to see, much of the fresh produce used by their culinary team is grown at the L’Ormarins garden.
The pickling workshop itself will take place at the Terra del Capo Tasting Room. Led by Chef HW Pieterse, the workshop will begin with a brief talk on the principles of pickling and preserving quality fresh produce.
It’ll then be your chance to get stuck in and try your hand at preparing your own pickles; each guest will also be able to take his or her creation home! The day will culminate in a delicious Antipasti lunch of charcuterie, cheese and pickle platters, paired with Terra del Capo wines of course.
R450 per person for the full experience.
Date & Time: 8 September or 22 September at 10am
