There is nothing worse than going out for a meal when everyone orders something different, makes changes to their dish, then changes it again and then expects the order to come out perfectly, plus having to sort through a bill because one guy had the lobster and another just a plate of chips. Bleh. It’s always a nightmare.
That’s why I love a good set menu. ESPECIALLY when the menu has a choice for each course, which means I can force someone to go halvies with me and then taste it all.
