Cuvée Restaurant will liven up the winter weekends this year, adding a touch of music to your standard wine and dine experience. Guests can sip award-winning Simonsig wines, enjoy gourmet cuisine and relax to the sound of blues, soft rock and every genre in between as local musicians take to the stage on Friday nights.
6 May: Paige Mac
The program will kick off on 6 May with a performance by Cape Town artist Paige Mac. Naming Adele, Freshly Ground and Nina Simone as a few of her influences, she describes her sound as ‘progressive acoustic soul with a folk-rock edge’. The performance will cost R150 p.p, excluding a la carte menu and wine.
3 June: Bottomless Coffee Band
On Friday, 3 June, the folk-rock duo Bottomless Coffee Band will take Cuvée by storm. Married duo Lourens and Esté Rabé started the band in 2010 as they dreamt of life in the music industry whilst still at university. Today, they combine acoustic folk rock with a side of afro-blues and a dizzying array of instruments to stand out from the crowd. The performance will cost R200 p.p, excluding a la carte menu and wine.
1 July: Emile Minnie
Cape Town based singer-songwriter Emile Minnie will be performing at Simonsig on Friday, 1 July. A former member of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, Emile has featured in various competitions and travelled widely to promote his music.
