Situated in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, Haute Cabrière was originally granted in 1694 to French Huguenot Pierre Jourdan who named the property after his hometown in France. Owned and run by the charismatic von Arnim family, Haute Cabrière – the home of Pierre Jourdan – grows its distinctive portfolio of wines on a simple philosophy: the balanced contributions of Sun, Soil, Vine and Man.
Characterised by its iconic Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir, its fine Pinot Noirs, its celebrated Pierre Jourdan MCCs, and its lively Tranquille blend, Haute Cabrière has become firmly entrenched in the hearts and homes of wine lovers in this country and beyond.
On a beautiful summer’s day, nothing beats a light meal on the outside Terrace at Haute Cabrière with breathtaking views which create the perfect setting for an al fresco dining experience. The more casual Terrace menu remains hugely popular with tourists and travellers looking for a light bite before or after a wine tasting experience in the cellar.
During the summer months Haute Cabrière will be hosting wonderful live music evenings every Thursday from 17h00 until 19h00 with two great local artists performing. Nuka is a singer-song writer from Stellenbosch. She is a creative song writer and a free spirit. Her sound can be described as a fusion of folk, old blues and Jazz. Morne Meyer hails from Wellington and has recently worked in Dubai as an entertainer for Regal Plaza Hotel. He does guitar, vocal and live music. He is talented in multiple genres including Jazz, Blues, Funk and Pop.
The first event takes place on January 28th kicking off with Morne Meyer, and will continue until 31st March 2016. These weekly events are the perfect way to enjoy a delicious light meal paired with great wines. The breathtaking views and sunsets provide a splendidly unique setting for the live entertainment. The events take place on the Terrace area at Haute Cabrière with seating on both the Terrace as well as the lawns which overlook the magnificent Franschhoek Valley.
Booking is essential as each event has a maximum capacity of 60 PAX. Please note only the Terrace menu is available at these events and no cover charge applies. Listed below are the dates of each event which run until the end of March.

Haute Cabrière’s Tasting Room and Cellar Restaurant are both situated on Franschhoek Pass (Lambrecht Street), Franschhoek. The Cellar Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and on Sunday for lunch only from 12h00 to 15h00.
