It’s summer and it’s time to take advantage of Cape Town’s beautiful sunny days and warm, clear evenings with delightful fresh summery meals.
The Cape Milner’s new summer menu, made up of luscious mouthwatering dishes is inspired by fresh, seasonal and delectable ingredients.
Kick off your culinary experience with a lemon and rosemary chicken salad with shallot and caper dressing, or the guava and red pepper gazpacho with goat’s cheese, green oil and garlic roasted ciabatta. Or opt for the gluten free chickpea falafel served with cucumber and garlic yoghurt.
For mains, the menu includes dishes perfectly grilled tuna served with roasted cherry tomatoes, tagliatelle, basil pesto and a chickpea and peppadew salsa; or mushroom and cumin polenta enhanced with sundried tomato, feta cheese, wild rocket and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. The classic Surf & Turf always appeals, and the perfectly grilled beef sirloin and fried prawns served with Lyonnaise potatoes and green beans will not disappoint.
For dessert, the vanilla panna cotta served with chocolate ice cream and passion fruit coulis or the baked cheesecake with summer berries and a scrumptious macaroon may tickle your fancy.
Guests can opt for the two-course or three-course options at R230 per person and R280 per person respectively, with a perfectly chilled glass of Leopards Leap Chenin Blanc or aromatic Leopards Leap Merlot included. The special can be enjoyed in either the chic, elegant Glass Lounge, the refurbished 2 on Milner restaurant or under the pergola on the Terrace.
