The History of Chocolate is pretty interesting and dates back at least as far back as the ancient Mayans. It was imported by the Europeans during the colonization of South America and was swapped as a comodity and changed by every nation that got their hands on it. It was devoloped over hundreds of years until it turned into the product that we know and recognise today.
The guys over at Jame’s Chocolate took a creative approach and depicted the history of Chocolate on an inforgraphic which we have added below. It shows a brief history of chocolate’s migration and how its popularity spread all over the world!
