‘The Routes of Sound’: Wine & Music for a Magical Evening at Spier Wine Farm

Wine, Music and Magic at Spier Wine Farm.

This August, Spier Wine Farm invites you to a unique musical journey with ‘The Routes of Sound,’ an intimate, bite-sized music event directed by Third World Bunfight.

Taking place on 23 August 2024, this experience promises a night of acoustic performances in some of Spier’s most atmospheric venues.

  • Imagine cozying up in the historic Manor House, a thatched attic, or the Old Wine Cellar, each setting the stage for talented local artists performing unplugged, evocative sets. With small groups of 30 rotating through six different venues, you’ll experience an array of sonic worlds, from the haunting melodies of Reza Khota and Jonno Sweetman to the soulful sounds of Lungiswa Plaatjies and Joshua Nemaire.

The evening begins at 19:30, and guests are encouraged to dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes for walking between venues.

The event includes a glass of Spier’s award-winning Creative Block wine, enhancing the intimate, pre-electric era ambiance. After the rotational performances, all groups will converge for a final, celebratory act.

Tickets are priced at R250, including a wine tasting. For those looking to make an evening of it, book ahead for a hearty meal at Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery. Don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself in quality listening music and the captivating atmosphere of Spier Wine Farm.
