Hosting the evening are Charles Hopkins (De Grendel Cellar Master) and Elunda Basson (Steenberg Cellarmaster), two industry icons whose friendship spans decades. From Elunda’s early days as a winemaking student in 1997 to her rise as a Master of Cap Classique and champion of South African Sauvignon Blanc, she and Charles have shared a passion for crafting exceptional wines. Now, they’re bringing their expertise—and their best bottles—to your table.
An Evening to Sip & Savour
The evening kicks off with canapés and welcome drinks, setting the stage for a meticulously paired three-course dinner designed by Chef Ian. Each course will be paired with a selection of wines from both estates, carefully curated to highlight the unique terroir and craftsmanship behind every sip.
