When life gives you lemons, make a Monkey Shoulder Godfather Sour

Always swaying towards the unconventional, Monkey Shoulder Scotch whisky invites you to stir up a Godfather Sour as winter draws to an end.

Imagine the smooth, rich flavour of Monkey Shoulder mixed into a refreshing cocktail that’s also pretty simple to make. Of course, Monkey Shoulder Whisky, which has earned its place in the shakers of the world’s finest bars, makes this drink all the more exciting.

This tangy recipe is concocted by combining syrup, amaretto and lemon juice. With one batch of homemade syrup you should be able to serve four Godfather Sours, a tasty libation guaranteed to end off your winter season with a bang.

The Godfather Sour is an interesting twist on an old classic –  the whisky sour – and this playful mixture adds a fresh tang to the tail end of the Monkey’s aftertaste. Once you taste it you’ll understand why; or should we say “capish?”.
