Zsa Zsa Restaurant & Bar is ready to welcome you and bring high-energy glamour and classic charm, with just a touch of folie to the Cape Town social scene.
This fresh, upmarket Mediterranean restaurant and bar are re-creating the experience and elegantly relaxed atmosphere of the 1960`s Riviera in the heart of the Cape Town CBD.
The inspiration behind the name of the restaurant stems from the fabulous Hungarian born actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, who was considered the first celebrity who was famous for being famous. Gabor was the epitome of glamour; always ready with a quick-witted remark, and never turned down a little party and celebration. She was renowned for her witty quotes that encapsulate the playfulness of her persona which is what the restaurant is all about. Guests should feel like they can dress up, get spoiled, let their hair down while enjoying amazing food and ambiance while making special memories.
The kitchen draws inspiration from all along the French and Italian Mediterranean coastline. The menu is a gentle combination of luxurious ingredients and the humble recipes of the region with locally sourced fresh ingredients, simple food, made well. The flavours will transport you to the beaches of St Tropez, the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast and the shores of Ibiza, recreating the feeling of dining in its sophisticated coastal towns and cities.
The rich velvet interiors resurrect the sensuality and sultry and glamour of the 1960s and `70s with bespoke murals and sensational lighting. The double volume space features restaurant tables and booths, a cocktail lounge, and a DJ booth. Visitors can expect incredible music with superior acoustics which fills the space with elegant sound but allows for a superior and convivial atmosphere.
Zsa Zsa is the highly anticipated social experience that is the brainchild of three local forces, Shaun Westwood, Yolande Mathias and Ty Wiese.
Zsa Zsa is a feast and celebration of the beauty of being alive. Guests can expect a lot of old school glamour, a touch of naughty and ridiculous amounts of fun. says Wiese
As Zsa Zsa Gabor said: “I believe that in life you should always take the serious things lightly and the light things seriously. This attitude of mine gets me into a lot of trouble.”
