This August, the exquisite wineries of Paarl invite you to experience a culinary journey like no other with #ProePaarl.
Join these celebrated wineries – Perdeberg Winery, Rhebokskloof Estate, and Nederburg Wine – as they offer specially curated 2 or 3 course menus for lunch that highlight the unique and rich tastes of Paarl.
Treat yourself with the finest local cuisine as the participating wineries showcase their iconic dishes from 1st August to 1st September 2024.
Perdeberg Winery
Select any two courses for R240 or enjoy a three-course lunch for R290, including a pairing of wine for each course. Available throughout August from Wednesday to Sunday, 12 pm – close.
- Starters:
- Potato and cheese croquettes served with a yellow romesco sauce
- Hummus with dukkha and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, served with ciabatta
- Fresh Focaccia, with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. Served with pickled red onion
- Pan-fried squid, garlic aioli, herb salad
- Camembert, caramelised onion and fig spring rolls, drizzled with honey
- Feta and green pepper stuffed Peppadews with basil pesto drizzle
- Mains:
- Chicken schnitzel with a choice of mushroom, cheese, or pepper sauce, served with chips and seasonal vegetables
- PB Burger with a choice of 200g beef or crumbed chicken, served with chips
- Aubergine Parmigiana (V) – Layers of aubergine, Parmesan, tomatoes, and mozzarella baked until golden, served with ciabatta
- Eisbein (Schweinshaxe) served with Parmesan mash or chips, sauerkraut, and mustard
- Pan-fried hake with tartare sauce, served with sautéed potato, grilled lemon, and seasonal vegetables
- Desserts:
- Malva pudding, served with vanilla ice cream and Amarula
- Cake of the day, a choice of cake made fresh daily

Savour the flavours of traditional and contemporary cuisine during lunch with a 2-course menu for R250 or a 3-course menu for R350. Available throughout August, daily from 11 am – 4 pm.
- Starter: Salt & pepper squid, crispy fried Cantonese-style squid with homemade aioli dipping sauce.
- Main: Traditional lamb bredie or waterblommetjie bredie, a hearty stew served with fragrant basmati rice.
- Dessert: Ouma’s classic cheesecake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Nederburg Wine – The Manor Restaurant
Experience cosy dining next to a fireplace with a special offer of any 2 dishes for R250 or a full 3-course option for R350. Available throughout August, daily from 11h30 to 4 pm, excluding Tuesdays.

- Halloumi and za’atar (veg) – Halloumi, cream cheese, and feta pastry roll, Amasi labneh, honey, and mint
- Smoked hake and cheese croquettes – Pea purée and black garlic aioli
- Mains:
- Confit pork belly roulade with Savanna mustard sauce, apple, butterbean mash, seasonal vegetables, and candied bacon
- Sesame, honey baked feta (V) – Roast beetroot, creamy red pepper, almond and tomato Romesco sauce, sun-dried tomato and lentil quinoa, herb dressing
- Desserts:
