If you are looking for a healthy lunch that is affordable and delicious, you’ve got to visit Afro’s Chicken – recently opened at Church Square on the corner of Spin and Parliament Street in Cape Town.
Originally from Durban, the Afro’s story started as a pop-up trailer/eatery near the beach front and with every new customer their fanfare started to grow. In this incredible success story, 12 stores have opened in Durban since then with the brand going from strength to strength
When mentioning to my Durban friends that Afro’s is opening a store in Cape Town, they already got super excited and this excitement only grew when we posted about opening on our Facebook page. People were thrilled to see Afro’s coming to the Mother City.
The value for money is already evident with a quick glance at their simple and uncomplicated menu. Their most popular item on the menu must be the burger & tjips which only costs R49 – a lot cheaper than any competitor in the city.
The small menu also allows the restaurant to prepare your order much quicker which means it’s the ideal spot for a quick lunch before heading back to the office.
I’ve already been to Afro’s several times trying the burger, the wraps as well as the bacon & egg roll. I always left with the intention to come back: You can expect Durban prices (inexpensive) with tasty food and healthy alternatives.
It’s a place I will come back to over and over again.
