We recently joined Den Anker for their Perfect Share Special, and weren’t disappointed in the least! A welcoming environment with ambient, warm light, we sat at a table over looking the water. From the get-go the service was swift, appropriately attentive and friendly.
Although all options were tempting, we chose the 2kg Mussel Pot and were glad we did! Served with a side of crisp, soft-centred fries with mayo, and a carafe of Jordan Chameleon White Wine, the portion was more than enough for two and incredibly delicious. The mussels were plump, flavourful and utterly more’ish, which wasn’t an issue considering the abundance of mussels that lay before us. The mussels were served with a light, creamy sauce on the side, thankfully not too rich and the ideal amount, as the mussels were really so good they didn’t need much added.
A dining experience I’d definitely recommend, the entire night ran seamlessly with fantastic food in a relaxed atmosphere. A special that offers great value at a Cape Town institution, join Den Anker for a sharing meal you’ll surely relish. I’m already reminiscing over those mussels…
