It’s the time of the year, where upmarket restaurants across the country will offer their menu at reduced prices either for lunch or dinner. Seats have to be pre-booked in advance through the Restaurant Week online portal.
Zai Restaurant
Zai Restaurant is an authentic Argentinian grill-house specialising mainly in marbled meats with a fusion of Durban cuisine. Opened on the 1st of August 2022, the restaurant provides an alternative to the dining space of Durban. The restaurant’s exquisite interior matches the delicious dishes coming from our kitchen.
Situated right on the periphery of Florida Road in Morningside, Zai is a culmination of true of flavour and a truly unique fine dining experience. You get a true Argentinian experience at Zai with our steaks and most of our meals being prepared on the Santa Marina grill over wood fire and charcoal. Our cuisine allows you to have a taste of the authentic dishes made deep in Argentina complemented by the Durban spicy cuisines. Zai’s cuisine gives you the experience of that wood-fired feel and flavour with a bit of theatrics with our flambeed steaks.

200g double beef patty, bacon, lettuce, onion and tomato, gherkins, cheese, bacon and fried egg. Served with chips.

Creamy chicken fillet, bacon, basil pesto. Served with a pasta of choice.
BEEF FILLET
300g Grade A beef fillet, done on a wood-fire grill, flambeed with brandy and served with a side order of your choice.
LAMB CURRY
Tender and spicy lamb curry served with savoury rice and sambals.
VEGETERIAN PAELLA
Saffron spiced savoury rice, seasonal vegetables and mushrooms.
PORK RIBS
500g sticky pork ribs served with chips.
