With less than a month to go, the eleven bartending champions who will face off for top honours have been announced. Witness some of the country’s best bartenders on Wednesday 2 December in the South African Nationals of the Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge at News Cafe in Newtown, Johannesburg.

- Tom Savage , Social on Main
- Dino Batista , The March Hare
- Jeffrey Waldman , Hogshead
- Dean Spencer , The Dutch
- Rudi de Vos , Thirst
- Brent Perremore , Orphanage
- Siavash Behaein , House of Machines
The winner will go on to represent South Africa in the Global Final in Trinidad and Tobago in early next year to compete against the world’s best to win US$10,000 and the chance to become the Angostura Global Brand Ambassador for two years.
We have met some incredibly talented bartenders this year, and are certainly impressed by the skill that will be displayed at the up and coming event.
At this stage of the competition they will have to be more innovative and creative within in their challenge as well as think about what it takes to up hold the name of being an ambassador for Angostura.
