Harbour House is collaborating with the celebrated Steenberg Vineyards to present an unmissable Food & Wine Pairing event on the 23rd of August at 7 PM.
For only R700 per person, guests are welcomed into a world of culinary sophistication, where a meticulously crafted three-course menu dances in harmony with the finest vintages from the esteemed Steenberg Wine Estate. It’s the perfect date night idea.
What’s on the Menu?
- The evening begins with tantalizing canapés that features an ensemble of California Rolls, elegantly presented with a medley of Salmon, Tuna, and Veg, each piece a work of art. This culinary masterpiece is paired with the Steenberg Chardonnay MCC, a sparkling companion that complements the flavors with its effervescent elegance.
- The starter unveils the Seafood Stack – an intricate assembly of Salmon tartare, tempura prawns, caviar, avocado mousse, and a symphony of fresh vegetables, harmoniously drizzled with sweet chili sauce. Paired with the vibrant Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc, this course creates an exquisite balance of textures and tastes.
- For the mains, two distinct journeys are offered. The Ribeye, luxuriously bathed in Bordelaise sauce and accompanied by bone marrow croquettes, asparagus, and braised pearl onions, is elevated by the Steenberg Nebbiolo, a red wine of rich depth. Alternatively, the Miso Seabass rests elegantly atop a bed of risotto, a marriage that finds perfection with the Steenberg Semillon, a wine that unveils delicate layers.
- The evening crescendos with a divine dessert – the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée adorned with berries and a sprinkle of raspberry dust. A fitting conclusion to this culinary symphony, this dessert is accompanied by the ethereal Lady R MCC, lending a touch of effervescence to the sweet finale.
