And they have done it again, La Mouette have changed their menu and changed lives. Ok, well, at least my life. It is really great, I had a sneak peak of it at their annual Twitterati Party, which was better than I could ever have imagined. Well done to Mari, Henry and the entire team for pulling off such a successful event, the biggest and best yet. I look forward to the next one.

Beautiful seasonal and refreshing – course 1 = chilled tomato gazpacho with white almond foam and crouton
Course number 2 = chef henry’s Tapas (due to his current Italian phase) cheese and truffle croquettes, sweetcorn arrancinni, marinated olives and caponata crostinis
Choice number 1 on the 3rd course = summer salad with marinated artichokes, buffalo mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, smoked aubergine puree and crispy sage
Choice number 2 on 3rd course = assiette of duck – duck liver parfait, crispy duck spring roll, smoked duck breast with apricot puree, brioche and pistachio crumble
Vegetarian option on 4th course = hand made fontina raviolis with chestnut puree, spinach, pickled mushrooms and truffle dressing
Main course option course 4 = pan fried tuna with borlotti bean cassoulet, roasted garlic ailoi, pesto and persillade
Beef sirlion with bone marrow and brioche crust, pan fried gnocchi, salt and pepper mushrooms, smoked onion puree and red wine caviar
Pre-dessert: ‘rhubarb and custard’ – custard pannacotta with rhubarb foam and warm cinnamon doughnut
Final course – ‘Strawberry Cheesecake’ = strawberry ice cream, strawberry gel, black pepper marshmallows, cream cheese frosting and crumble
