Paws on the Promenade: A Tail-Wagging Good Time with Vondi’s Holistic Pet Nutrition

If there’s one thing better than a Saturday morning stroll, it’s a dog-filled Saturday morning stroll—especially when it’s for a great cause.

Get ready, Cape Town! On 13 April, the Sea Point Promenade is going to the dogs—in the best way possible.

Paws on the Promenade is back, and this time Mdzananda Animal Clinic is teaming up with the amazing folks at Vondi’s Holistic Pet Nutrition to bring some serious tail-wagging energy to the Atlantic Seaboard.

  • It’s a 5km fun walk where humans and hounds hit the pavement for a paws-itively good cause: supporting the pets of Khayelitsha. The route kicks off at the Mouille Point Lighthouse, with registration opening bright and early at 8:00 AM, and the walk officially beginning at 8:30 AM. Entry is just R50 per human, R50 per dog, and R25 for kids under 12—that’s less than a bag of treats and twice as rewarding.

Don’t have a dog of your own? No stress—you can borrow one! Some of the adorable pups up for adoption will be more than happy to be your four-legged plus-one for the morning.

Here’s what else to expect:

  • Goodie bags for the first 100 furry friends

  • Coffee, snacks, and local craft stalls

  • A raffle with pawsome prizes

  • A fun dress-up theme: match your pup or go all-out in orange!

Vondi’s will be there in full force, sharing their love for holistic pet nutrition and natural products, because every pet deserves the good stuff—inside and out.

All dogs must be on leads (even the overachievers). So grab your leash, lace up your sneakers, and throw on something orange. Whether you’re a dog owner, dog lover, or just in it for the coffee and cute costumes, Paws on the Promenade promises a morning full of joy, community spirit, and happy, panting pups.

Get your tickets now and see you (and your pooch) there! 🐶💛
