If your idea of a perfect day involves great wine, stunning views, and a touch of artistic wonder, Benguela Cove Wine Estate has just the ticket.
From Saturday, 3 May to 31 August 2025, the estate’s gallery will transform into a portal of imagination with Zoë Chowney’s “Imagined Landscapes”, a whimsical, multi-disciplinary art exhibition that’s as delightful as a good Sauvignon Blanc on a sunny afternoon.
Opening Day Magic
Mark your calendar: Saturday, 3 May at 15:00 is when the magic officially begins. The opening promises to be a visual feast, set against the estate’s picture-perfect backdrop in Hermanus. Think bold sculpture, intricate jewelry, abstract paintings, and delicate drawings—all inspired by South Africa’s wildly diverse ecosystems.
Art Meets Nature, with a Twist
Zoë Chowney doesn’t just create art—she creates little universes. Her work pulls inspiration from the biomorphic beauty of plants, organic shapes, and microscopic natural forms, wrapping it all up in bold, beautiful pieces that live somewhere between reality and dream. With a BA and MA in Jewellery Design from Stellenbosch, she brings both technique and vision to every piece.
Wine in One Hand, Wonder in the Other
As always at Benguela Cove, you’re encouraged to enjoy the art with a glass of their award-winning wine in hand. The exhibition is housed in the Benguela Galleries, right next to the estate’s tasting room. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, it’s the perfect way to turn a lazy weekend into a cultural adventure.
