Pun very much intended.
Legendary Cape Town Chef Tayfun Aras is teaming up with Vondeling wine estate to bring a Turkish twist to South Africa’s favourite meal – braai!
Aras, who sold his Turkish restaurant, Anatoli, last year after 15 years has just released his first cookbook and will share his culinary heritage with guests in a delightful three-course meal and share his knowledge of Turkish culture and food and stories of growing up in his birthplace of Ankara, while Vondeling co-owner Julian Johnsen and senior winemaker Matthew Copeland will host guests and share the story of the winery and their passion for conservation of the natural and built heritage of the Voor-Paardeberg farm.
There is no better way to experience a culture and heritage than through its food. – Aras says.
