Ke-Monate – located in the Durbanville Winelands – is a Sotho word meaning ‘dis lekker’ or ‘that’s nice’. Why Sotho? Our mother, Elmi de Wit grew up in the Freestate and the first language she could speak was Sotho and she speaks it fluently up to today.
On the 9th of August on Woman’s Day, Ke-Monate Bistro is hosting a High Tea lunch offering individual sweet & savoury platters with a cappuccino or tea for only R70 per person. Great give-aways are also being planned as long as you are wearing a fancy hat! Great hampers are up for grabs. The event will start at 12h30 and booking is essential.
